Speak with Valette, he is along the inner wall below the weapon/armor shop, he will ask for your help cause he is hiding from the guards and doesnt want ot be a badnit anymore and needs help clearing his name, responding "I will honor your request to clear your name." will start the quest he will ask you to go look around the ark ruffians camp north of town for a ledger to clear his name , travel out of Hothbra west side exit and travel north up near the shore line you will find the thief/fighter camp known as ark ruffian if you click on hte barrel inside the hut it will tell you that you found the ledger return to Valette for your reward: 5000 Experience Pool
